Our X ray department consists of a Shimadsu x ray machine with Agfa CR 10 X Computed digital radiography unit. The CR system works in conjunction with NX Agfa healthcare's image identification and quality control tool, for a high efficient and optimized radiology workflow. It comes with Agfa gold standard MUSICA software, which automatically handles all calibrations. and image processing, Optimizing the final image quality without the need for any human intervention or special training. The X ray department is open for 24 hours services. All radiographic procedures are done in this department including special x ray procedures and general medical x rays. Our hospital has atomic energy authority of Sri Lanka license.

Echo Cardiogram
Echocardiogram (Echo) is a test, using high frequency ultra sound waves to make a picture of your heart. This test is also called diagnostic cardiac ultra sound. An echo uses ultra sound waves to create pictures of your heart's chambers, valves and the blood vessels attached to your heart. An echo can't harm you, you can eat and drink before the echo test as you normally would. Echo testing is done by a consultant cardiologist using GE brand echocardiogram machine Cardiac Investigations: Trooping I and T, B Type natriuretic peptide (BNP) assay is specially done for cardiac status.
EEG
An EEG (Electro-Encephalogram) monitors brain activity to give important information for neuron-physicians to observe, diagnose and deduce clinical conclusions. The EEG services at the Balasooriya Hospital is capable of conducting all diagnostic procedures relating to brain activity and issue reports for interpretation. The advanced functions of this electronically operated equipment produces superior and accurate results. EEG tests is done by fully qualified technician and reporting is done by a consultant neurologist.
